2017 Pureway Retreat

Shaykh Omar Hussaini will be hosting a spiritual retreat in Landsdale, Pennsylvania. This program is intended to serve as a protected time for individuals to rejuvenate themselves and reconnect with Allah (SWT) through Salah, Quran, Zikr, Tawbah, and self reflection.

Given that much of life is filled with distractions, the Pureway Retreat aims at creating protected time in our lives with the intention of focusing on Allah (SWT) and His pleasure alone. There will be daily inspirational talks with Shaykh Omar and time set aside for personal Ibadah. Outdoor activities are tentatively in planning as well to allow for the strengthening the bonds of brotherhood/sisterhood. The program will begin Friday evening February 10th and ends Sunday, February 12th, Inshallah. Details regarding program schedule will but updated on the site as they become available.

There will be accommodations for both men and women. As with an itikaaf style program, attendees are requested to plan accordingly. The below are a small list of items we recommend that everyone pack:

For brothers and sisters – if you’re intending to stay at the masjid or at the sister’s accommodations. We recommend bringing sleeping bags, or sufficient bedding to be comfortable. Do be mindful of the weather conditions.

It would be advisable to keep a sweater or some warmer clothing for the evenings.​ Additionally, it may be wise to bring towels and the like in the case one needs to take a shower.

The Retreat will be held in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. This is a fair bit away from the neighboring airports. As such, transportation to and from the airport should be arranged. The below are some options:
